Risky Business

Risky is a 2003 gelding Cyndi purchased from Canaan Ranch in Fulshear, Texas, as a foal. He’s registered with the Oldenburg Verband.

Maxine

Cyndi has owned Maxine, a 20-year-old Quarter Horse/Tennessee Walker cross, for 16 years. In their younger days, they dabbled in everything—eventing, hunter/jumpers, barrel racing, pole bending, team penning... and, of course, dressage. Dressage eventually became their focus, and they moved up the levels together.

Cyndi earned her USDF bronze and silver medals on Maxine, who competed through Intermediaire I. Maxine has also served as Cyndi’s lesson horse, teaching beginners how to ride.

Maxine and Cyndi were profiled in the 2001 Dressage Issue of the Chronicle of the Horse.
